Massachusetts Rescue and Recovery K9 Unit
MARK9 is a charitable, non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer search and rescue unit
dedicated to the training of search and rescue dogs, handlers and support
personnel in order to provide professional and highly-skilled search and
rescue resources in the event of an emergency response event.
MARK9 is recognized by the Massachusetts State Search and
Rescue Dog Federation as a Certified SAR Canine Unit.
MARK9's Search Dog Teams
provide services to Law Enforcement Agencies and Fire/Rescue Agencies
FREE-OF-CHARGE and STATEWIDE upon request to assist in locating lost
persons due to a multitude of situations.
MARK9 does not self-deploy
but may call appropriate agencies to offer our services.
MARK9 does not search for drugs or narcotics, bombs,
or participate in criminal pursuits but will
search for victims of crimes or evidence of a crime. MARK9 does not
investigate potential arson fires, but can search for victims of fires.
